About Me

David

I woke up one morning in the late fall of 2008 and had had enough. As I got out of bed my knees popped and I was so stiff I looked like a cartoon character. My body was breaking down on me and my spirit was just broken. I needed to lose 50 pounds. Actually, I needed to lose 70. But those were numbers too big even to consider long.

I started that day with clear goals for exercise and eating better. And I kept my word to myself and did indeed start using various exercises programs on my living room Wii. Really. I rid the house and the shopping list of the soda and empty calorie snacks. I worked hard for 5 months at this and lost 5 pounds. You may know exactly how depressing that was for me.

Learning as Leadership's Personal Mastery seminar in March was a godsend [caveat: I am the finance guy for LaL and may not be completely objective, but the programs rock]. It took me far in clarifying some important goals, including my health. One big take-away for me was the idea of "experimenting" with life. We can all get caught up in being attached to the outcomes, and sometimes the chance of not hitting those outcomes can be so daunting we just can't move forward. By thinking about these changes I wanted in terms of experimenting I was able to let go of the outcomes and instead just experiment with various paths.

Even then, I could struggle with seeing the right way, even when it was right in front of me. On a field trip with my daughter's class I partnered with one of the mom's who told me about Isagenix®. I filed it away and didn't think much more about it. I must do my clearest thinking when I wake in the morning, because a few weeks later that conversation returned to me when I rolled out of bed. I sent off an email and started a conversation that ended with a 30-day cleansing system. I didn't really believe in it, but at this point was willing to risk a little bit of money to find out.

The results were immediate! Within a few days the weight was beginning to drop off and I went on to lose 20 pounds in that first month. I'm now closing in on my initial goal of 50 pounds and haven't felt so good in, well, ever. I've experimented along the way with some alternate ways of using the products, and felt no guilt at all in those moments when life reared up and the system dropped away for a day or two. I'm still losing weight. I consider this product magic in a bottle. Everyone who tries the product becomes a fan. If you want to get there, its the best choice you can make for yourself!

Succes isn't defined by me solely in terms of the scale--health, wealth and time are the ingredients that allow for the blessed life. I'm pursuing those now not as an end, but as an enabler for a great life. I'm happy to share my experiences here with you in hopes I can be helpful to you along your journey. But I hope you will also contribute. The journey is the experiment that is life!
