Its not pretty!

Here's the main takeaway statistics:

Potato chip sales are up 22% from 2007

Tortilla chip sales up 17% in same period

Microwaved meals rose 10% from a rate that had been pretty much flat for more than 15 years

The number of meals cooked by actually cooking dropped from 53% in 1985 to 33% this year

The culprit is that "healthy" costs more. No surprise to anyone who shopped at a Whole Foods recently. One of the ironies of using the Isagenix system for weight loss is that not only do you get great nutrition, but it costs less. All in when using the 30-day Cleansing and Fat-Burning system I spend less than $4.50 per meal. Yes, that includes the shipping and sales tax. I suppose you could spend that little by eating at McDonald's, but you know you don't want that.

In the first 30 days of using this system I lost more than 20 pounds and felt better than I had in years. And if your problem is time, not money, this is still the system to start with. Five minutes in the morning and at night to make a tasty shake and a light lunch and you'll feel the diference in days. Really. Just try it. Thankfully that appears to not be true. But still, this is a particularly dangerous time for folks who are already overweight. Studies show that we are more likely to gain much more weight than average. Worse, once gained, those pounds don't go away, but instead build up over time to a real problem.

Take control! Make sure your exercise routine isn't a victim of the busy Holiday season and indulge with moderation in all the extra treats around you. Better yet, be proactive and aim to end this Holiday season 10 pounds down! I can help! Get in touch and find out what Isagenix can do for you! And I know I always feel better after doing it, yet, it is still near impossible for me to make myself do it. I love yoga and at times have been able to consistently take 2-3 classes for a few weeks, but then I feel pressured to complete some work thing or go on vacation and am thrown off my rhythm.

My most recent technique is using a little app I found for my iphone called Pow. It is very simple. It gives you a list of 10-15 exercises you can do with just your body and the ground (ie push ups, crunches or lunges) and lets you set up a routine of how many sets of whatever exercises you want for however long. I have started with pretty low goals of 2 week routines which include things like 6 push ups (yes, I have never been able to do those!), 3 sets of 25 crunches each, and a bunch of lunges. But the great thing is that it does not take long, 10-15mins, and it feels reasonable to me to find that time each day to do.

You might be able to get the same psychological boost from writing your list out. And I would just making columns to check off each day you do the exercise. I think the system works because 1) I don’t have to think (read: debate and find excuses) to not do some exercises and 2) even though no one knows if I do it or not, somehow I feel like I am held a little more accountable by having to enter in what I did each day. So even if I am not always getting out for the hikes or yoga classes as I should, at least I am doing something.

John Anderson's Advice for Nutritional Cleansing

John Anderson posted this on his Facebook page and I wanted to share it here, directly from the source, so to speak.
Are you having trouble getting through the cleanse days? Try doing it John's way and see how that feels, and what different results you get. Amazing advice for those doing the Isagenix 30-day cleanse (or the 9-day version):

QUESTION;
Got a person who is a bit confused on what John Anderson uses for snacks. Any suggestions? In the past, we’ve simply said, “If you must cheat, choose healthy low-calorie foods like nuts, small salads and vegetables.”

ANSWER;
Here's the Deal,

Cleansing is done for several reasons, to rid your body of toxins and also to lose weight.
Both require proper cleansing instructions and doing it correct, this will insure success.

Over the years, everyone think they are experts and have changed the original cleansing. This has lowered the the success rate, average weight loss, and slowed the system.

Eating foods on cleanse days is some fabricated crutch to appease cheaters and sugar addicts. Someone started the almond thing and has caused a rash of foods including eggs, salad, nuts, yogurt, chewing gum, vegetables, fruits, to be added as an "OK" thing to do.

The IsaSnacks are part of an important calculation, balanced nutrients formulated for a reason. The need to stabilize blood sugar was a factor when I originally designed the 9 day system. Adding a snack 6 times a day stimulates the colon slightly, adds a small amount of carbohydrates, and stabilizes blood sugar.

Ketosis is necessary for uncovering (Burning fat) where toxins are present. So, the need to enter a mild state of ketosis is a must for really detoxifying and BURNING FAT! By adding any other nuts and food will disrupt the process.

Diabetics and Hypoglycemic individuals must watch their blood sugar closely for LOW blood sugar. If this occurs, then it is recommended to eat a slice of apple or fruit and if needed, repeat until levels are back to normal.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who Panic when the hunger signs hit. This is a trained mind response that occurs as a survival mechanism. One starts to feel their next meal is not coming and PANIC sets in.

This can be reversed and the habit broken in 48 hours by not teasing your self and eating snacks to keep the evil hunger monster away. Regardless of your weight, this can be controlled. In some cases, the mental stress of "The next Meal Syndrome" may require support from a coach, physician, friend, or someone who can work on the strong mental factor of assuring "Death" will not occur, so to speak!

JA WAY TO CLEANSE;
Drink 16 ounces of cleanse during the entire day in your drinking water,
Add 6 snacks daily during your cleanse,
2 IsaDelights are optional,
You may also take your Essentials, Ionix, C-Lyte, Omegas, and a little WME.

NO's;
eggs
nuts
fruit
vege's
salad
or any other foods.
If you do eat these snacks, you will be hungry during the cleanse and have a much harder time, so doing it the JA Way will help you succeed..

I'd love to hear feedback in the comments on how this works for you. It's easy to fall for the easy snack when the hunger appears. Fight through!
